The Iowa Communication Association is seeking nominations for the following awards. Please consider nominating a colleague or encouraging a student to submit a paper. You do not need to be a member of the Iowa Communication Association to be considered. The deadline for nominations is June 1, 2021.

Outstanding New Teacher Award

Recognizes an outstanding communication educator within the state of Iowa who is within their first 7 years of full-time teaching at any level (K-12, undergraduate, and/or graduate). 

Outstanding Adjunct Teacher Award

Recognizes outstanding adjunct communication instructors within the state of Iowa who have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching. 

Westphal Outstanding Graduate and Undergraduate Student Paper Award

Recognizes outstanding graduate and undergraduate scholarship. Papers may cover any aspect of communication and are expected to be presented at the Iowa Communication Association conference in September. The award includes publication in the Iowa Journal of Communication.
