Call for Westphal Student Paper Competition Iowa Communication Association Convention Fall Conference
We seek both undergraduate and graduate student papers on any aspect of communication for presentation at the annual ICA convention in September. Papers may be either APA or MLA format and can cover any aspect of communication. Papers should be no longer than 25 typed double-spaced pages in length. Papers accepted for presentation will be organized into thematic and/or top paper panels for conference presentation. The top paper will receive the Westphal Student Paper Award which includes a modest monetary award at the conference banquet and be published in the Iowa Journal of Communication. Students need not be a member of ICA, and if it is their first ICA convention their convention registration will be waived. Recipients also receive a one-year membership to the Iowa Communication Association.
Submission deadline each year is June 1. The editor of the journal receives the submissions. Look for the specific call each year in the spring newsletter for the association. Papers are to be submitted electronically to the editor of the journal:
